Welcome to the Assessment Center at Lake Washington Technical College. We are dedicated to providing quality testing and assessment services to our students, faculty/staff, and the community.
These services include:
- COMPASS - placement test for math and English, and to determine entry into programs of study
- GED tests (General Education Development)
- CLEP tests (College Level Examination Program)
- HOBET (Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test)
- EMT Pre-test (required for admission to EMT program)
- MCAS (Office 2007) & MOS (Office 2003) certification tests

ACA – (Adobe Certified Associate) includes tests for Flash 8 & Dreamweaver 8 certifications

CS3 – (Creative Suite 3) Adobe Flash CS3, Dreamweaver CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended certification tests
- IC3 - (Internet and Computing Core Certification)
- Proctored testing for Distance and On-line Learning courses

If you are interested in preparation classes for the GED exam, or placement testing for ESL (English as a Second Language) please contact the Academic Skills Center (ASC) in Room T217 at (425) 739-8100 x656.
New for GED!
- New test-takers must complete paperwork and orientation prior to making an appointment to test. This service is available on a walk-in basis Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please note that you must begin the orientation/paperwork by 2:00 pm.
- Fees need to be paid and math tutorial viewed at least one day prior to taking the test(s).
- All test-takers may schedule appointments for Thursdays at 8:00 am, 10:30 am, and/or 2:00 pm throughout most of the year. During the summer, appointments are available at 8:00 am and/or 10:30 am only. Schedule is subject to change and there is no testing available on holidays. Your appointment must be made by 4:30 pm on Tuesday of the week in which you wish to test.
- All test-takers must arrive 15 minutes early for test sessions or they will be asked to reschedule.
