Before registering for classes, you may need to take the Compass placement test in English and/or math.
- If you have previously taken the Compass placement test, or if you have completed a college-level English or math class at another college or university, you might be able to waive the test. Ask an adviser if this applies to you.
- Both the math and English tests are taken on a computer and results are available immediately.
- To take the Compass placement test you will need to have your Student ID number and photo ID.
Walk-In Testing is available:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
and Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
in room W204.
For more details about placement testing and sample questions visit the Assessment Center’s Compass Test web page.
