Fitness Specialist AAS Transfers Directly to Bastyr University
Students earning their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) through LWTC’s Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer program can now transfer directly to the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness offered by Bastyr University. Located in Kenmore, Washington, Bastyr University is a leading academic center for advancing knowledge in the natural health sciences.
Admission requirements include:
- 2.25 cumulative GPA
- Grade of C or better in all basic proficiency and science requirement courses
- Completion of a minimum of 90 quarter credits (60 semester credits) prior to enrollment.
Completion of the Fitness Specialist AAS will satisfy many of Bastyr’s general education requirements and basic proficiency and science requirements. Students who plan to transfer will need to complete additional coursework in English, Chemistry, Biology, Arts and Humanities, Social Science and may need to fulfill requirements in Natural Science. Completion of the Fitness Specialist AAS will also satisfy 24 credits of upper division requirements in the BS Exercise Science and Wellness program at Bastyr University. For students transferring without an approved associate degree or into unapproved bachelor degree programs, credit from courses listed in the transfer agreement will still be accepted. A maximum of 100 credits can be transferred from LWTC to Bastyr University.
