The Evergreen State College Offers Upside Down Degree to LWTC students
Located in Olympia, The Evergreen State College is a public, four-year liberal arts and sciences college. The following programs offered at Lake Washington Technical College have been approved for Evergreen’s Upside Down Degree:
Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Architectural Graphics, Business Applications Support, Child Care Manager, Civil Engineering Graphics, Computer Security & Network Technician*, Dental Assistant*, Dental Hygiene, Engineering Graphics-Mechanical Engineering Emphasis, Environmental Horticulture, Horticulture/Floristry Option, Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer, Information Technology Applications Development, Legal Support Professional, Machine Technology, Medical Assisting, Multimedia Design and Production, Registered Nurse, Science Technician, Social and Human Services.
Students interested in transferring must meet the following requirements:

Earn the LWTC Associate of Applied Science

Complete at least ENGL& 101, and preferably ENGL 102,
with a grade of "C" or better

Achieve a minimum grade point average of 2.5

Meet the admissions criteria for Evergreen in effect at the time of their application
Evergreen will grant LWTC students meeting the above conditions:

Automatic acceptance into the Upside Down Degree Program

Necessary academic advising to meet the program requirements

Ninety (90) quarter credits for the Associate of Applied Sciences on completion of the Upside Down Program requirements.
The students should be able to meet minimum degree requirements at The Evergreen State College in six (6) quarters of full-time attendance (90 credit hours).
*Students in the CSNT and Dental Assisting programs must take a transferable academic course as one of their required electives. Review the academic courses approved as electives by faculty.
