Upon receiving an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from Lake Washington Technical College, students can now transfer 90 credits directly to Seattle Pacific University and enter the university as a junior. To transfer, students must earn at least 20 college level liberal arts credits from distribution lists within the areas of:
- English Composition
- Arts and Humanities
- Social Sciences
- Natural Sciences
- Mathematics
Students transferring to Seattle Pacific University will automatically be accepted into the Professional Studies program where students will complete general education requirements and choose an academic minor from any available program. Popular choices have been computer science, electrical engineering, or organizational behavior. Students may also complete an elementary teacher certification in place of a minor.
Seattle Pacific University is located near downtown Seattle, and has structured its Professional Studies program so it can be completed in the evenings.
