Welcome!  Lake Washington Technical College has been providing options to high school age students for many years. We would love to talk with you about your future and help you select the most appropriate program based on your individual goals and needs.  Below is a listing of the High School Programs offered at Lake Washington Technical College.  Please click on the Programs to the left for detailed information.

All HOP sessions are on our Kirkland campus in the East Building, room E204.

Lake Washington Technical Academy

Lake Washington Technical Academy is an accredited, special purpose high school  for students seeking an alternative education with a focus on career and technical training. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, meet eligibility criteria, and live within one of the 30 eligible districts.

Gateway to College

The Gateway to College High School Completion Program is for 16-20 year olds who have dropped out or are at risk of dropping out and interested in returning to school and completing their high school diploma. While earning their high school diploma, students earn credits toward a college degree.  Gateway to College students learn how to succeed in an educational setting, under the guidance of a caring team of instructors and student support specialists with experience and interest in at-risk youth. This new program will start serving students Fall 2009.

Running Start

Earn college credits during your junior and senior years of high school! The Running Start program is a partnership between LWTC and local public high schools.  

Adult High School Completion 

For the older student who did not graduate and has only a few classes to complete.

GED 

A series of tests to obtain the equivalency of a high school diploma.
