Remote Access Server

What is Remote Access Server?

Remote Access Server will enable you to have access to your X:/ drive, Personal Folders in Email and other shared drives when you are away from campus.

If you are already using Windows XP follow these instructions:

Remote Access Server Instructions for XP

Files for Non Windows XP Users

If your computer does not have Windows XP as the operating system, you will have to download, unzip and run the following application to have it add the Remote Desktop Connection to your Windows.

(Windows XP comes with this already built in under Programs\Accessories\Communications)

For all other operating systems you need to install this small program to insert the Remote Desktop Connection utility into the same place. This will enable the Remote Access Server for those not already running Windows XP.

download this first if you don't have Windows XP

After downloading and unzipping the link above, open the folder and doubleclick SETUP. After you run through the setup you can follow the Remote Access Server Instructions below.
