Faculty Biographies

Jim Howe - Portrait

Jim Howe

Jim Howe has been a tenured instructor since 1998, starting full time with the program in 1994. Jim has a BA, 5-year Vocational Education Certification and a CompTIA A+ Certification since 1997. In the past 5 years Jim has completed a WAOL Teaching Online certificate, was designated a Subject Matter Expert by CompTIA in the new Security+ certification, and recently attended the Chair Academy Leadership Program as part of an Internship in Instructional Administration.

Marvin Everest - Portrait

Marvin Everest

Marvin Everest has been with the program since 1998 and a full time instructor since 2002. Marvin holds a BS, and both the CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications. He completed Cisco Instructor Training in 2002. In the last year, he has taken 2 classes, 5 days total at New Technologies Incorporated for Computer Forensics. In December 2003 Marvin complete the CISCO 3.0 curriculum update course to maintain his eligibility to teach this curriculum. Marvin is currently pursuing additional industry certification for the CompTIA Security+ certification.

Mark Waddington - Portrait

Mark Waddington

Mark Waddington has been a tenured instructor since 2002, starting full time with the program in 1995. In this report period, he is a Cisco Training Instructor, has finished over 40 hours of Certified Wireless Network Administrator Training and completed his CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certifications. His current training is centered around Cisco Firewalls and the new VoIP technologies.

Charlotte McGary - Portrait

Charlotte McGary

Charlotte McGary has a BA in Mathematics and years of experience as an application programmer and computer consultant. She has taught part-time in CSNT since 1999 while obtaining CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.

Joe Martorelli - Portrait

Joe Martorelli

Joe Martorelli has been a full-time instructor with the program since 1999. His education includes a BS in Accounting and an MBA. He has a Novell CNE, CompTIA Network+, and Planet3 Wireless CWNA/CWNT. In the past year he has taken courses in both FTK (Forensic Toolkit), and Snort Intrusion Detection installation and rule-writing. Joe has taken the initiative to procure state-of-the-art Voice over IP equipment, and is currently developing a VoIP class for future delivery. He also completed his Security+ certification in June 2006.
