Energy & Science Technician Program

The Energy & Science Technician associate degree is aimed at preparing students to work in both the public and private sectors. The program prepares students for employment as technicians in many areas such as: biomedical and pharmaceutical laboratories, manufacturing operations, oil and gas companies, environmental positions in public and private jobs, and technical representatives.

Students will receive a well rounded education that includes courses in math, statistics, written and oral communication, social science, biology, chemistry, physics, and computers. Electives also allow the student to direct their studies toward environmental, chemical, agricultural, or manufacturing specializations.

Energy & Science Technician AAS graduates will:

  • be prepared for a range of entry level technician positions in a science-related position
  • demonstrate the ability to problem solve using process control techniques
  • be able to pursue advanced education opportunities.

Any developmental coursework a student may be required to complete may increase the program length.
