Massage Therapy
This exciting new program, started in the fall of 2008, will provide you with comprehensive, professional massage therapy training that will keep you in constant demand and open doors to numerous types of career opportunities.
The program is designed to prepare you for a rewarding job as a certified and licensed massage therapist. You’ll obtain the therapeutic massage skills necessary to aid clients in recovery from injury, to promote health and well-being, and for the treatment of chronic disease or pain.
Program Highlights
The Massage Therapy program features small class sizes, modern equipment and hands-on training that simulates an actual job environment. You’ll not only learn the fundamentals of massage therapy, but you’ll also learn the business practices needed to be a successful massage therapist.
Specialized classes include:
- Spa massage techniques
- The business of massage therapy
- Orthopedic massage therapy
- Massage gymnastics and hydrotherapy
- Review of CAM and Eastern medicine
- Massagef or disease pathologies
- Animal massage therapy technique
You can enroll in the program at the start of any quarter and financial aid is available. With a new curriculum, there are no pre-requisites. Day and evening classes are available.

Any developmental coursework a student may be required to complete may increase the program length.
All programs at LWTC aim to provide students with workplace skills that include Communication, Critical Thinking, Global and Cultural Awareness, Teamwork, and Technical and Information Literacy. Each program will include coursework used to assess student performance in these global outcomes.
The program outline is a suggested sequence of courses for this area of study. Courses listed in the program outline may not be offered in the exact sequential order. It is the student’s responsibility to work out their individual schedule with a counselor or advisor.
