Multimedia Design & Production Program

The Multimedia Design & Production (MMDP) degree is designed to prepare students to work in a variety of settings as graphic designers, Web designers, desktop publishers, and graphic art technicians. Graduates will able to plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to produce Web sites, printed materials, and interactive online experiences.

The Animation Game Design Degree is designed to prepare students to create animated graphics applicable to: gaming, marketing, advertising, educational, and various other types of interactive media that use 3D animation. This program has a strong emphasis on game development.

The Interactive Digital Media Degree is designed to prepare students to design and author interactive media for training DVD’s, produce streaming media content, develop and maintain interactive Web sites and design and output various marketing materials. This program has a strong emphasis on pre and post-production development and implementation. In addition, the student will be able to operate studio equipment, edit audio and video, and plan and manage production projects.

MMDP at night!

MMDP's evening/hybrid Multimedia A.A.S. program meets the needs of working adults by allowing them to earn a degree in 8 quarters by attending at night and online. Spring 2009 offerings include evening/hybrid sections of Illustrator 1 (MMDP 121) and HTML 1 (ITAD 112). Early evening offerings include 2D Graphic Design (MMDP/ART 102) and Intro to Drawing (MMDP 103). Fully online offerings include Photoshop 2 (MMDP 142) and Typography (MMDP 117D).

Students need to demonstrate competency in the use of the Internet and either the Windows or Macintosh operating system. Any developmental coursework a student may be required to complete may increase the program length.

* Certificates of proficiency (73-89 credits) are designed to be completed in four quarters, and prepare students to work in a variety of multimedia settings. Graduates will acquire skills needed to be successful in entry-level jobs as designers or production technicians.

† Certificates of completion (13-19 credits) are designed to prepare students for job transitions, skill upgrades, and continuing industry education to remain current in the multimedia field.
